Boulder County Doctors Join Two-State Communication Network
Medical Voyce and Boulder County Medical Society Partner to Link Physicians
Medical Voyce LLC (medicalvoyce.com) and the Boulder County Medical Society have created a partnership to connect the society’s member-physicians to the growing Medical Voyce network. The new society addition expands the network’s reach across Colorado and Wyoming, connecting doctors to each other and to the valuable information used to help them run their medical businesses.
With more than 3,300 physicians networking via MedicalVoyce.com in the two states, these newly networked doctors can now connect with colleagues allowing physicians to find and effectively research each other’s core competencies for consults and referrals that bring benefits to their patients.
The Boulder County Medical Society is the latest addition to a growing physician directory, accessible to doctors for free through a password protected entrance in their own medical society website. This connection also gives them free access to HIPAA-compliant online communication tools so they may “speak” directly with their colleague about a particular patient in a secure format. The physicians can attach files and records to their online conversations and the tool works with any electronic medical record (EMR) system or none at all. Since it is free to the physician members, there are no financial impediments to keep any doctor from the tools or links to the greater network.
As part of the arrangement, Medical Voyce will also be redesigning the Boulder society’s website to provide ease of use and information necessary for the doctors. “As a medical society, our charge is to advocate on behalf of our physicians,” said Judy Ladd, Executive Director of Boulder County Medical Society. “We researched our options and chose to team with Medical Voyce because they have the tools and the experience to support us as a society as we support our members.”
The newly designed society website will continue to offer the important information the doctors have come to rely upon from the society. However, the new site will be “Powered by Medical Voyce,” which doubles the information available to the individual doctor by providing further access to information and tools included on the MedicalVoyce.com website. In addition to the networked directory, the physicians will have faster, easier access to education options for themselves and their staff in both medical and business fields; tools to evaluate their business success; and a library of business information from subject matter experts around the state to help them improve the efficiency and effectiveness of their practice.
Fulfilling the expanding need for business of health care resources, Medical Voyce supports the business needs of the physician. “Medical societies, hospitals and individual physicians are searching for solutions to the issues of practice sustainability and improved physician communication as well as profitable online options for secure doctor-doctor and doctor-patient interaction,” said company CEO Dirk R. Hobbs.
About MedicalVoyce.com
MedicalVoyce.com was founded in 2003 as a Colorado-based online portal by Dirk R. Hobbs, the former Colorado-area MD News publisher. The site is a free virtual platform for health care providers and consumers, supplying valuable tools, information and communication to connect physicians to each other and their patients as well as to provide valuable local information to the public. Within Medical Voyce are two unique Web interfaces for two separate audiences: Public and Professional. The Professional Portal is password protected and available only to the health-care provider community. The Public Portal offers the community-at-large free, local health-care resource information.
